Here is a reminder again of the Excursion Cancellation Policy. All cancellation fees should be paid to your advisor.
The student excursion cancellation policy reads as follows. Each excursion is heavily subsidized by the program. Costs include, among other things, hotel rooms, some meals, museums, guides, transportation, reservation / adjustment / cancellation fees. Please do not assume that you have a replacement and thus are exempt from these fees, such “replacements” often turn out to be students already on our waiting list, or already counted as someone else’s replacement. At any rate, these private arrangements only lead to confusion and cannot be credited. The following cancellation fee schedule applies. This is in addition to the forfeited seat tax:
1. Potsdam: 1 full week prior to trip (with an email from a staff member acknowledging cancellation by May 18): 10 Euros. After May 18: 25 Euros.
2. Dresden: 1 full week prior to trip (with an email from a staff member acknowledging cancellation by May 25): 50 Euros. After May 25: 100 Euros.
3. Weimar/ Leipzig: 1 full week prior to trip (with an email from a staff member acknowledging cancellation by June 1): 50 Euros. After June 1: 100 Euros.
4. Munich: 1 full week prior to trip (with an email from a staff member acknowledging cancellation by June 6): 100 Euros. After June 6: 250 Euros.
